Maastricht Carnaval!

Tomorrow, carnaval starts around here in Maastricht. For three whole days the inhabitants of the whole city and surrounding towns and villages seem to be insane. The streets and cafe’s will be full of dressed up people all enjoying themselves. When I was younger I used to be one of the people that were in town for 3 to 5 whole days, only coming home to sleep a little. I loved it. All these days and nights, sometimes family, no worries, drinks, friends… and more 🙂

These days it different. I have to work for two days, so I only have one day left. The day and early evening I will spent in town with my little girl, the rest of the evening I’ll spend at home, sobering up and getting enough sleep.  Another day at work the day after. Times change… times change!
