A good listener? Joking after the first serious sentence right before asking questions based on assumptions…
On the death of pets
As you may have noticed I re-uploaded the last two episodes. I was not happy with the lighting of Dwaas’ house. In my mind it should’ve been much darker than it was before. And so I retouched all panels of this scene. It’s all in the details right?
In completely unrelated news… We had a wonderful family weekend, up until we arrived back home. One of our rabbits had escaped and sadly a predator found him. Suffice to say we had to say goodbye to our beloved rabbit and we buried him in the backyard late Sunday night. My daughter was devastated and my wife and I were impacted too. Its particularly sad for the remaining rabbit, he looked like he missed his pall. I suppose we’ll have to find him a new buddy soon…
As a kid I just hated the moments when we lost pets; dogs, a cat and a bird; the “weeks after” were always so so sad. I now know these were good experiences in order to learn to deal with loss and I have to say my daughter is holding herself pretty good all things considered. She already had to process a very big loss little over a year ago and lost a couple of smaller rodents.
Death belongs to life they say. Yeah… well…

Hard not to smile with that kind of friend around… At least Kemi doing his best tocheer Dwaas up.
Sorry for your loss, Lil’ rabbit learned the hard way that nothing is safer than home… Maybe your daughter could use some Kemi friendship…
I kinda doubt that the sudden appearance of a ghost in her room would have calmed my daughter down haha. 🙂
You have a point here…
