Since it’s called the “Storyteller”, it seems that the guy sitting on the bench with the laptop is a writer, and he’s telling a story that is shown on the other side of the book. I don’t really recognize the scene on the right, so if it’s from an existing book I don’t know what it is. But I love the idea of having the writer on the left and what he’s writing on the right. I bought the same Lego set so that I could do something similar.
I hope you’ll tell us what is really happening in the image sometime!
Hey Teddi!
I agree with what you’re typing. The part of the storyteller telling his story (luckily) stayed clear to me. However the scene itself became different from what I imagined before.
It is not a scene from an existing book. The storyteller would be Dwaas (me :P), and you might recognize the two persons in the scene from the second chapter of the Foolish Lego comic (Dwaas and Kemi (the ghost). They are in Dwaas’ house (the ‘haunted’ house on the hill).
I imagined a friendly scene with Kemi floating around and Dwaas looking at Kemi in friendship.
However, to me, it turned out as if Kemi is being pulled into the light to some kind of higher existence while Dwaas is reaching out to him with his hands, unable to do anything…. kind of sad.
What doe you think the storyteller is telling in this scene?
I guess I thought maybe the person in the alley was either startled by the ghost or maybe the ghost was coming out to pull them into a haunted house or something. Whatever the case, it’s a provocative and mysterious scene, which I would think makes it all the more interesting to the viewer!
So cool that there are so many possible interpretations. Thanks 🙂
It’s you creating Foolish Lego II. Some kind of auto portrait.
What did I win?
Dang… Didn’t see the other posts before mine…
That was my intention… but the scene became something I didn’t write yet… :/
Hahaha!! Awesome!
