Day 264 - Stepping into a dreamworld
He always happy when he steps into his dreamworld.
This weekend I had some time to try some techniques. The past three photo's took a long time to make. Especially because everything is in camera. That means I only use photoshop to adjust contrast and color a little, but nothing more. The last two photo's were the same technique with different lighting and today's photo is a completely different technique, pretty easy, but it still took some time getting the right shot.
A 365 has some advantages, it's fun, it keeps the creative juices flowing and you get a lot of practice. On the other hands it takes a lot of time and because you need a photo each and every single day you actually have less time to get a shot just like you want it. After my 730 daily #Lego photo's are done I will take a short break and then I'll see if I can make use of all I learned the pass two years. Then I can take the time I need for a shot and only post the photo's I'm really happy about. I'm kinda looking forward to that time.

Day 262 - A cold and dark night...
Dwaas wonders where the bone came from...
Someone told me about this technique to get snow-photography without using photoshop. So I had a go at it. Mainly the lighting was pretty difficult because of the shutterspeed and depth of field in the dark... I guess it's okay for a first try. This is one of the main problems of a 365-project. It does not give you time to practice. So what you are seeing today is a training photo, one that you would never had seen if I wasn't bound to the 365 (like many others in the 365).

Day 259 - Hazardous journeys
The good old romans made some trips through dangerous terrain. Hopefully they''ll keep their eyes open this time.
As a kid I loved history lessons in school and mainly the lessons about the Roman empire. Such an interesting time period (to learn about, not to live in ;) ). Rome today is still one of my favorite cities in Europe, so much (hidden) history to be found in that city.
