A little late publishing the comic today.
We’ve been painting my daughters room today and that took some time. Little girls grow older and she’s done with pink and all the kids stuff. Last week all new furniture, now a new color. Next up the babyroom.
Tomorrow, the x-mas tree will go up. I’m already looking forward to it, especcialy because the Lego winter-village will go underneath the tree. Each year it gets larger and better. I love putting the town together, the train around it, and lastly filling the town with townspeople; and the cast of Foolish Lego of course. 🙂
Do you have something special to you in your house during X-mas time?
I decorate my tree the day after Thanksgiving (I consider people who go out on “Black Friday” insane) and leave it up until Candlemas (Feb 2). Almost all my ornaments are either antique mercury glass, or replicas of ornaments from the 30s and 40s. The last thing I put up is the star, but the thing right before that is a small piece of the old artificial tree my parents had all through my childhood but which finally bit the dust about ten years ago. It hides quite nicely, but it’s nice to know it’s there. I also take a piece of straw from the nativity at church after Mass on Christmas Eve and add it to my own under-tree nativity. (And, yes, the train station and train from Ballinabricky are also under the tree 😉 )
The LEGO winter village is indeed a must have for the season holidays… I wish I had all those sets… So magical.
And for once I’m glad my prediction was right LOL
