Feeling small and insignificant
For the last panel I used an overhead-shot, with a small Dwaas. I hoped to give the scene a bit of a philosophical feeling since Dwaas is pondering his fathers loss. Also Dwaas looks small; just like he’s feeling. His words are sad… almost in a whisper… that’s why I used a smaller font. Does all this come across, more or less? Or did you get another feeling (or no feeling at all 😉 )

I had a feeling you were trying to create something like that for the 4th panel. I still think a “diving angle” would have be better as we don’t see the characters faces here.
To be more precise, I would have tried to be more focused on characters reaction over the philosophical feeling, but that’s just me 😉
Yeah, I considered a lower angle. I struggled a bit with that last panel. I wanted Dwaas to look small(er) and a diving angle wouldn’t do it. Besides, Dwaas’ facial expression never changes so this was not an argument to me.
